BEAM supports ELISE Atlantique, a wonderful initiative that combines environmental protection with the integration of people in difficulty. Since 2021, we have entrusted them with the collection and sorting of waste from our offices.

The ELISE network
Committed to a pioneering and different approach since 1997, the ELISE network plays an active part in protecting the environment, while creating sustainable, local jobs for people with integration difficulties or disabilities.
ELISE stands for Entreprise Locale d'Initiative au Service de l'Environnement.
The idea
To collect and recycle office paper and create a business that will provide stable employment for people with integration difficulties, particularly those with disabilities.
Objective
To put people at the heart of the business by creating a positive dynamic that enables people to fulfil their potential, improve their skills and gain a better social status.
An environmental initiative
By giving priority to recycling and avoiding the incineration of a large proportion of company waste, ELISE is helping to reduce air pollution and preserve natural resources.
A social initiative
ELISE's workforce is mainly made up of people with disabilities or who are having difficulty finding work. By recycling used paper instead of incinerating it or dumping it in landfill sites, the number of jobs created in the paper and cardboard processing sector has increased tenfold.
ELISE works with Pôle Emploi, Missions locales, CAP'Emploi, URIAE and UNEA to recruit its employees.
ELISE has also developed a comprehensive training and support programme designed to enhance employees' skills.
In concrete terms
The ELISE network is now the French expert in the collection and recycling of all office waste. ELISE sites help companies to set up selective sorting of their office waste. 16 types of waste can be recovered.
By sorting this waste on its sites and favouring short, local recycling circuits, ELISE guarantees maximum recovery of this waste while complying with the channels established by the eco-organisations.
ELISE & BEAM collab
Since February 2021, BEAM has been committed to solidarity-based employment with ELISE.
Every fortnight, a team collects paper, cardboard, plastic bottles and coffee pods in the offices.
The 2022 results are positive. We are continuing our daily efforts to reduce our waste production and optimise recycling.
