Because serious subjects can be dealt with in a light-hearted and good-humoured way, BEAM has decided to raise awareness of disability among its employees in a fun way through a major quiz! Competition, suspense, laughter...
CHALLENGE HANDI'CAP
BEAM is making a commitment internally to (re)sensitise its employees to the issue of disability. It is supported in this by Agefiph, an organisation responsible for supporting the development of employment for disabled people through services and financial aid.
In mid-June, the 2nd edition of the Handi-cap Challenge provided a fun way of tackling this issue.
The concept: a quiz on the subject of disability. To prepare the 3 competing teams, clues had been scattered around the company a few days beforehand. The questions covered a wide range of subjects: ‘What proportion of disabled workers need to have their workstation adapted’, ‘The first law to legally define disability dates back to 1975. True or false?’, or ’What is Jimi Hendrix's disability?
A solidarity quiz, solidarity gifts!
All the participants had the pleasure of going home with gifts promoting the professional inclusion of people with disabilities.
Lunch at Café Joyeux, a fast-food restaurant that employs people with disabilities, mainly with Down's syndrome or autism.
