After over 35 years pouring his inventiveness and passion into his business, Philippe Capdevielle’s son Romain has now taken over, continuing the family tradition of authenticity, creativity, sharing and sustainability. CAPDEVIELLE TRAITEUR, an event caterer based in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, is well-known for the high-quality and originality of their culinary creations, as well as for their strong, long-standing commitments to the environment and social responsibility and for having built a strong spirit and a clear, shared identity.
For over 30 years they have adapted the spirit of the gourmet cuisine we love, with seasonal offerings and a passion for the products, to suit the requirements of the catering profession and receptions by constantly proposing new creations and new culinary concepts.

Their story
1989: CAPDEVIELLE TRAITEUR was founded by Philippe Capdevielle and Véronique Capdevielle.
2018: construction of the most modern and most responsible production laboratory in the urban area in Bruges. This €2.8 million investment allowed CAPDEVIELLE TRAITEUR to position for growth, receive ISO 20121 certification, and above all create a workspace that makes its employees proud, while creating a firm foundation for the team.
2019: ISO 20121 certification obtained. First caterer to receive an authentic certification in eco-responsible events.
2019: planting of a vegetable garden spanning 2,500m2, as a social and educational project.
31 March 2023: Romain Capdevielle, Philippe Capdevielle’s son, bought out the company shares. He now runs the company alone after 4 years as general manager.

Responsible innovations
CAPDEVIELLE TRAITEUR is the first caterer to have created a carbon calculator certified by ADEME to use for its events, reception venues and customers. Their ISO 20212 in 2019 marked a new step forward in their responsible approach.
After 6 months of work, they presented the Delta Project: their entire carbon balance for 2022 and their actions to reduce their impact by 2024.
Their personalised carbon calculator, adapted to their production tool and their menu, allows them to provide clients with an ADEME certified carbon analysis on request after their events.
Year after year, they will be able to measure, compare and reduce the carbon impact of their events and activities with the aim of offering increasingly responsible events.
