Hi Marion! So, what exactly do you do at Bordeaux Events?
I’m part of our team of technical-commercial assistants. We act as relay between the Sales Managers and the Technical Project Managers who oversee helping clients. My missions are articulated around 3 main pillars: an administrative side as we create commercial contracts, a commercial one centered around negotiating with outside suppliers (regarding installations, audiovisual services, caterers, hosts and hostesses…). I work on the daily with technical, IT and audiovisual teams from Congrès et Expositions de Bordeaux (CEB), and with our suppliers to better fit the needs of our clients – both for organizers and exhibitors. Lastly, there’s a “fieldwork” side to it where I make sure that requests made by clients are fulfilled and that their event unfolds successfully.
What do you like the most about your Job?
I love how varied it is! Especially the diversity at the core of our events! We host several kinds of events (conventions, congresses, fairs) across 5 different spots throughout Bordeaux. I love how rich my missions are as well. I’m what you could call a “Jack-of-all-trades” who intervenes before and during the event. One of the things that I also really enjoy is that rush of adrenaline ahead of an event. The escalation of events, having to handle impromptu issues… My job also allows me to work alongside a network of local suppliers, valuing the local economy day to day!
What event do you dream of hosting in Bordeaux?
I’m a huge foodie and I would love to relocate the Rungis International Market (originally in Paris) to Bordeaux. A rendezvous with culinary activities from chefs all across the board, who would put our local producers in the limelight. I would combine an electro music festival with the food aspect, basking in a funky and cheerful spirit!

I’ve always LOVED singing, ever since I was a kid. Especially 80’s hit songs! Unfortunately for my colleagues, my singing voice is a little too high pitched and not always on-key!
